Review: Revlon Photoready Bronzer

Hey guys! Today let's take a quick look at Revlon's Photoready Bronzer in Bronzed and Chic. This bronzer is one of the few matte bronzers in the drugstore. Most bronzers in the drugstore seem to carry between a lot of shimmer to actual chunks of glitter.

This bronzer was priced at $6.99 at my local drugstore. This bronzer is definitely reliable. When I say reliable, I mean that you are going to get the same constant results. What I mean by that is that you can apply this product and know that it is going to apply safely and not do anything unusual, like move around, rub off or cause blemishes.

The packaging on this bronzer is unique. You don't get the typical circular compact that comes with blushes and powders. This is a product in a rectangular package that is in a circular pan. Confusing right? Well, you get a product that is divided into 4 shades of bronzing powder ranging from light matte brown to darker matte brown.

The divisions between the lighter, medium and darker powders are in large enough sections that is no trouble to get a larger angled brush into an individual shade. I prefer to apply this shade by simply swirling all the shades together to get an overall brown shade. In my opinion, this shade isn't quite dark enough to use as a solid contouring product, but it is perfect to give the face a sunlit glow.

This is a wonderful shelf product, but it is definitely not a travel friendly package. The overall, glow is more orange than deep brown. For this reason, I again think more sunlit highlight than contour application.

Overall, a beautiful product that is wonderful for a simple day out or for a touch of bronze on a spring day!
